Church of England - Diocese in Europe

A note from the Archdeacon:

In view of the state of emergency declared by the Federal Council, the Anglican Churches in Switzerland will not be holding any services or meetings until further notice.

Please contact your nearest chaplaincy (see links) if you have any questions.   Sermons and prayers will be available on chaplaincy websites.

In the case of a funeral, a small service can be held at the crematorium or graveside with close family members only. If desired, arrangements can be made for a memorial service to be held in church as soon as permissible.

A prayer:

God of time and eternity,

Who in Jesus stills the storm and calms the anxious soul,

Give wisdom to those in authority,

Hope to those that wait in uncertainly,

And grant us all the courage to face whatever lies ahead.

By your Holy Spirit, restore the health of all creation

And bring your world healing and wholeness.

In the name of Christ our Sovereign and Saviour.  Amen
